ASMG is seeking a highly skilled Director of Technical Operations to oversee all technical aspects of our operations, ensuring the smooth and efficient running of our radio stations, broadcast facilities, and digital platforms. This is a senior leadership position that combines both strategic thinking and hands-on technical expertise. General Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage all technical operations, including broadcast equipment, IT infrastructure, studio systems, and digital platforms.
  • Oversee the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of technical equipment, ensuring uptime and reliability across all media channels.
  • Supervise and mentor a team of technical staff, providing leadership, training, and development to ensure the highest standards of service and performance.
  • Develop and implement strategies for system upgrades, improvements, and innovations, keeping pace with industry advancements.
  • Collaborate with engineering, production, and IT teams to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues quickly and effectively.
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with industry regulations, including FCC and safety standards.
  • Create and manage budgets for technical operations, ensuring efficient allocation of resources.
  • Establish and enforce best practices for technical operations, ensuring smooth and efficient workflows across the organization.
  • Work closely with senior leadership to align technical operations with business goals and objectives.
  • Manage relationships with external vendors and service providers to support technical needs and ensure consistent service delivery.

Key Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Broadcast Technology, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • At least 5 years of experience in technical operations, including RF experience and AM/FM broadcast experience.
  • Strong knowledge of broadcast technologies, audio/video systems, transmission equipment, and IT infrastructure.
  • Experience managing technical teams and providing leadership in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues under pressure.
  • Familiarity with industry regulations, including FCC compliance and safety standards.
  • Excellent communication, project management, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and external vendors.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Salary: $90,000 – $130,000
  • Benefits: Medical/Dental, Vacation, 401k
